hypoechoic solid masses in Right lobe liver

Hi My dad is 86 years old who was recently did some xray test after stomach pain and vomiting. The test result shows Hypoechoic Solid Masses in right Lobe liver as big as 7cm by 9cm. The doctor said it is cancer but would not say how fast it is growing or life span of patients of his age would survive with this issue. Any input? Any idea of what I need to do to slow the growth or spread of this cancer? Please help.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. A biopsy of the lesion would be the next step. This will help to determine the type of tumor, the histopathological grading. Also, the extent of spread needs to be assessed with ultrasonography, CT Scan and blood markers. Based on this and the other co morbid conditions, the prognosis is determined. Discuss the possibilities with your consulting doctor.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

You should probably post this on the liver transplant expert forum. The doctor there is a transplant surgeon but he is extremely knowledgeable about all liver related issues.

Here is the link to that forum:

Good luck,
