I definitely think one of your docs needs to do blood work, a liver function test to be exact. That will measure you liver enzymes. Also an abdominal ultrasound or CT should be done. I have the same right sided pain as you and that is what my primary and gastro doc did first. That will give you a place to start.
Also, no viral hepititus is not a STD. The most common strains here in the US are A, B and C. I believe one can be transmitted sexually but they can also be transmitted through several other means. Your primary or gastro should do that for you also.
I hope this helps a little.
As for sexual status, Good For You! I was 20 and people think I got a late start, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. We grow so much as people in our early twenties. Don't be in a hurry, when it does happen you will make up for lost time!
Take care!
I am in the process of switching hospitals, so I am getting all these new docs. the only one that really knows me well is my neurologist and she is really great she orders tests that are not in her area. She scheduled me for a sleep study to look into sleep apnea for the severe insomnia and fast pulse upon waking (bariatric would not do one becuase I told them my neck was only 15" around and I do not snore or wake up gasping, in my opinion, I think it should be a standard pre-surgery test). She also ordered a CBC and B12 and folic acid level, and a retest on my lipids, just in case that 122 was lab error. I have surgery on 8/16 (sorry if I said 7/16), and they are probably going to do some pre-op blood work.
I have a GI dr. that I have only seen once, but he is a frikin charm! he's adorable and nice and knowledagble. The pain in the upper left (and a little right) quandrant has been getting worse though, and I have been having way more GI issues, so maybe i should start my making an appt. with him and he can refer me if nessecary.
is viral hepatits an STD? b/c if it is, I am not sexually active yet. (yaya I know 24, I've never even had a guy in my life or a kiss let alone sex lol I swear I am going to be the real life 40-year old virgin haha)
we will see what happens, I have learned to try as hard as possible to take it day by day and focus on the present
I did find some info on liver rolls but had never come acrossed it all my prior research. I was just wondering if you have had a test for viral hepititus? Have you had any imaging or bloodwork done on your liver? So you are scheduled for lapband surgery on July 16th? Have you talked to your doc about all your concerns prior to your surgery?
Take care!

there's your answer to what a liver roll, or you could just google liver roll in quotes.
and I did not say my breast size had increased, in fact quite the contrary. I am on BP pills and have gained 100lbs but yet my breasts have not changed from a DD in years. What I did say, was that the swelling under my breasts above my abdomen (I guess u could say this was my diaphragm area) was so large it "LOOKED" kind of like I was growing another breast.
found this:
According to a web page on cholesterol testing from the the Discovery Health Channel, abnormally low levels of cholesterol may indicate:
hyperthyroidism, or an overactive thyroid gland
liver disease
malabsorption
inadequate absorption of nutrients from the intestines
malnutrition
I know I gave you the true readers digest version, but for the past 2 years I have sacraficed so much I go to sleep crying everynite if i go to sleep at all, I can hardly eat anything anymore without getting poops or cramps or indigestion. I need to lose 10 more lbs to get my lapband surgery on aug 16th. I have been to a couple endo drs. and a GI guy who did an endoscopy and said I had mild stomach erosion b/c i take so many frikin nsaids for my pain. but as far as liverland goes, I havent really ventured there except for a couple basic lfts. My uncle is in his 40's and he has end stage liver failure and will eventually die without a transplant, but right now his MELD score is just a few points too low to be eligible. My dad has a history of bleeding stomach ulcers and my mom has diverticulitis, and my grandpa died of renal failure, so GI issues are not foreign in our family. so if anyone reads this who know what it's like to be constantly told you're anxious or stressed by many people when something was actually wrong and no one seemed to notice just becuase you were walking talking and breathing, I would like to hear your opinion.
I have never heard of anything called a liver roll. I do know that in liver disease your cholesterol usually rises, not drops because your liver can no longer process the cholesterol. I would take a deep breath and schedule a visit with our primary care provider. Tell them everything you are going through. Ask him to do a CBC and liver function test this will help to give a clue as to the health of your liver. Also, breast size in women usually decreases in liver disease not increases.
Hope this helps.
