sgpt/sgot

I am Diabetic since last four years. and taking amril-1mg . The sugar is under cantrol. I am also taking Atacor- 10 mg. My recent test report is as under:-
i) blood Sugar fasting- 108 mg/dl
ii)S. Creatinine- 0.98 mg/dl
iii) S. Bilirubin- 0.98 mg/dl
iv)SGPT- 66 units/l
v) SGOT- 59 units/l
vii) Total protine- 7.8 gm/dl
  Is there any thing serious i my case. Cholestrol level is under canctol. I am also not habitual alcohol consumer

Hello there.  I agree with fntn.  Your levels are mildly elevated. Medication and/or alcohol can raise it.
Even if you don't drink often, if you drank before the test that could elevate numbers
The good news is that you can just discuss with your doctor and you could also look at your diet to see if there is anything you can cut out.

Your doctor will have to work with you to assess whether or not the medications are causing the elevations, or whether it is something like fatty liver. But your numbers are good except for your mildly elevated liver enzymes. They aren't high enough to be of urgent concern, but a discussion with your doctor is warranted.
