Thought I would share with all fellow lymies who are suffering from fatigue a little regime that has really helped me get through the long days of work.
I started taking and doing a few things that have really helped me overcome and cope with my worst enemy: FATIGUE with a capital F.
My MD recommended a few things to me and since taking them I’ve been doing pretty well (not tooting my own horn or anything, but pretty happy with the results)
He recommended Melatonin. I purchased one that is a pharmacy brand that dissolves under your tongue. I realized that I was taking them too late (right before bedtime) and had even a worse time getting up in the morning. It would take me a good 3 hours after to get out of the worst haze in the world. I was extremely deterred by this. But I thought I would give it a second chance but earlier in the night. I started with 1 ½ - 2 hours before bed. They actually work!!! They help me get a good night’s rest (well, the best I’ve had in years) . I took the maximum dosage recommended.
My 2nd recommendation was a product by Naka called Vital Greens (liquid form) OMG!!! This stuff packs a powerful punch. Follow directions as suggested (morning). You can find this at any natural food store, and may be even lucky to find this product at a pharmacy. Canadians are extremely PRO Naturopaths so this is not hard to find here.
My 3rd: Popping a super complex b vitamin @ noon. This assists in battling the 2-3 o’clock brick wall that I fight with on a regular daily basis.
My 4rd: A multi-IMMUNE vitamin. Amazingggggg. This was replaced by my regular multi-vitamin
My 5th: EAT CLEAN!!!! Ms. Tosca Reno is a genius with her eating clean books. I suggest you look into it. Probably the hardest thing to do out of all of these. Changing your eating habits and actually sticking to a diet regimen is so hard when you have those days of cravings and emotional/stressful times.
My 6th and final recommendation: DRUM ROLL PLEASE: EXERCISE!!!! Yes, the toxin-releasing, sweat making machine. Easy, but at a good pace… and increasing intensity each week – 2 weeks.
I swear by this people, you’re only as strong as your will power…. I know its hard, but you need to kickstart your “heart” and do it. I swear. IF I CAN DO IT! ANYONE CAN and as much as my fatigue may not be as intense as some, it is still chronic.
I love you all, and I hope this will help. Every lymie knows that most days, it seems like we are in our own separate world. We must stand by one another! Give a shoulder to cry on and a body to lean on.
God bless the lymies!
