Bladder pain

I have had Interstitial Cystitis for 5 years, I am from Canada, I have a Nurse Oractitiioner in the U.S. that had me tested for Lyme by Igenx, the test was positive. I was just wondering if any of you have bladder pain with your lyme, and did it get better. I have the stomach problem, fibromyalgia, fatigue, sore feet, messed up hormones, chest sweats. Anyhow I am just interested in knowing about the bladder thing and who is having a Good results from their treatment. Thanks

I have digestive problems, bladder pain, hormone issues, fatigue, weight loss and have been diagnosed as having Lyme. I have been on antiboitic treatment for three months with no results as of today. I take Pyridium for my bladder pain, it helps but does not make it go away completely. There are co-infections that you can get with Lyme, one is called Cat Scratch Fever which can effect the bladder and its nerves. I personally don't believe that interstitial Cystitis is a valid condition; there is not proof of it. I was told I have it as well, but it could be that our Lyme & Co-infections are causing it. Lyme and Cat Scratch can not be cultured in labs. I am trying acupuncture for the pain. Only had one visit so far, but if it helps, I will let you know. I have read about bladder irritation from Lyme but haven't particularly had it myself.  I just did a quick Google for 'lyme bladder' and there were lots of hits including some medical studies.  If you're interested in reading, try looking at some of those links, but I think the answer is yes, there can be bladder issues in Lyme.  Note:  I'm not medically trained!  Just have Lyme like you.  

My bladder was irritated for a while, but I didn't have it badly.
