I was diagnosed with Lyme of April '08 and was on treatment of doxy for about 1 month and a half. After treatment I had joint pain and weakness for a while, and it eventually went away for the most part. It would only coming around occasionally when I did strenuous activities, like my summer job of waiting tables. Since September '08 I have been fine, with no symptoms at all. Starting last Friday I felt pretty weak, and it is still hanging around today. I feel flu like with aches, and with a little joint aches as well, but I have no temperature, so I do not think it is a flu. My question is could a flare up happen that long after treatment and that long after such an extended period of feeling fine? I do not think I got reinfected either, because I used to live in PA where Lyme disease was very prevalent, but now for the summer I have lived in an area of the country where ticks carrying Lyme is not common at all. I'm planning on seeing the doctor soon, I'm just curious what you guys think.

It is possible you were never cured from treatment.  It can go into remission and come back when the body is stressed.  I had 7 years of remission then it came back after having surgery.

I first had Lyme at 19, I am 45, my new doctor did blood work, I still have Lyme. I also have Hep C.
Two months of antibiotics and I do not feel better.
I think I have permanent damage.
See your doctor, its been over a year?
Can you have more bloodwork drawn?
I don't know how often insurance pays for that..
Other things could make you achy also.
By the way everyone shoudl be tested for Hep C, your local health dept. should do it for free,  and there are vaccinations for Hep A and B.
Many people have it and are not aware.
I hope you feel better and find out what is going on...
