Getting bit again, years after treatment

When I was a teenager I was bit by a tick on several occasions and successfully treated for lyme twice - that was about 13 years ago. Yesterday I was bit again by a tick - my questions is should I go to the doctor and be treated again?

There is no guarantee that the bite will give you Lyme but since it just happened yesterday a short course of Doxycycline should get it in time. I would do at least 6 weeks and in the meantime if you should develop any symptoms, then make sure you find a LLMD.

My ex husband was a golf course superintendent. He and his crew were bitten often. At the first sign of a bite they would go to the company doctor and get a course of doxy. None of them got Lyme. The faster the better.

Good luck.

Yes.
I assume you have access to a savvy Lyme specialist doctor?
Being bitten does NOT convey immunity.
Each tick bite is a separate cause for alarm.
