Herxing??

Hey everyone,

I've read a lot about herxing and I know people have different symptoms.

Right now, i feel like i have the flu. I have diarrhea, nausea, and a low grade fever. started at 2 AM.The diarrhea is not like the kind I had the other night. There's really no stomach pain just the urgency to go. I just feel sick. And my lower back is in extreme pain which I've never had before.

I guess i just wanted to see if anyone else thinks this is a herx? And what i can do to get through it and if i should call my doc?

Yes, I have had that. Until you mentioned it I thought it was allergies but since you get it too then maybe its part of the herx.

Yeah it definitely seems like a herx. Did you ever have cold type symptoms with it too? Like i can't stop sneezing and my nose is running. I can't tell if it's the herx or I really just have a cold.

I would read the pharmacy flyer that came with your meds and any instructions your doc gave you.  If there is anything going on that (1) you did not expect to happen or seems to be a worse reaction than you expected or (2) is not mentioned in the meds flyer  from the pharmacy or by your doc as being a normal side effect, then a call to the doc's office is a good thing.  Everybody is different, and that's what the doc is for.  Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. It's nice to know there are others out there feeling like this. Although i wish none of us had to go through this. I started the doxy monday night so its been a few days for me. My stomach feels better now but my back is still sore and still seem a lil feverish. Hope you are feeling better! Keep me posted.

Hi,
I felt awful last night two however I slept 7 hours so feel better, and I have only been taking the antibiotics two days lol. Same symptoms you had except I don't think I had a fever but my hubby did tell me I felt warm. I did go take a bath of Epsom Salt and peroxide for about 20 min and soaked last night and I actually felt better and could sleep. I am new also to treatment so I also am not sure if it is herx or just the antibiotic side effects. Praying you feel better!
