FYI, There are huge lyme support groups on FB. Many nice people.
Don't be afraid/nervous to change Doctors you need guidance. When I first went on doxy it affected me with all kinds of herxes.
Herxing is your body's reaction to the toxins in your body caused by the dead bugs so in a way its a good thing, you are killing the bugs but it feels horrible.
Thanks,
It does seem as if I am herxing. I just started having some WEIRD symptoms that I never really had before. This is day 4 of increased doxy and when I first started the doxy back in October, day 4 is when I herxed with diarrhea/fever. Maybe a coincidence?
Yes, I am very lost with this whole thing. I am fairly young and don't know anyone else with Lyme, besides everyone I met on here. It's hard to get a hold of my LLMD, mostly you just talk to his nurses. There is another LLMD close to me but am sort of nervous to make the switch!
Your doctor needs to listen to your concerns otherwise what good is he? You need someone to guide you through everything.
It seems as if it is the Doxy causing the problems. Your LLMD should understand.
Wishing you luck.
Well I just took my pulse and it was 75 which is good.
It seems to really get going right after I take the big dose (200 mg together) of doxy in the morning.
But like trying to walk fast or going up stairs, forget about it. That has definitely become worse. Last week I was seeing improvement, was running up 3 flights of stairs at work with minimal heart problems (they used to get really bad). Like I said, I am treating with herbs also and have noticed improvement.
But since I increased the doxy, I can't even just walk up the stairs without my heart pounding. I feel like I'm going backwards in improvement.
I got serious heart problems from Lyme. Irregular heart beats and congestive heart failure.
I would go to the ER if your doc doesn't help and then change LLMD. I know of LLMD that are not ILADS docs and are good.
The heart is something to take seriously, if your LLMD won't do anything pleas go to the ER.
