Yes, I did some more googling on the movie and it looks like this summer the whole thing will be out. I need to buy Cure Unknown and read it too.
I think my group will be fairly positive. I've met two out of, I think, 5 or 6 that are in the group and they are very positive people. I'm sure it's different everywhere. So far, I think we have a good group on here, so that is a blessing.
Don't you worry, I am on this like white on rice:P If I find. anything it will be my pleasure to pass it on.
Take care of yourself and I'll be around for a while it seems! :)
I've only seen the preview version for sale at my LLMD's office or on the movie website (not sure if the link is allowed, but it's just the title followed by *******).
It doesn't have a menu or anything, not even subtitles (I usually like to watch TV with the volume way low and captions on). But I didn't want to wait so I bought it.
I've watched it several times.
I need to re-read Cure Unknown, this time with a high lighter and page flags in hand.
If you come across other materials you find and like, please let us know. For me, I've found a lot of books to be too extreme for my taste. I'm always looking for another good source.
I tried to join a local support group, but was told they were no longer meeting because "everyone's too sick." Not the uplifting experience for which I was looking! Guess that's part of why I'm online.
:)
A friend of mine let me borrow "Under Our Skin" and I watched it. It's very well done. It does help. I need to watch it over and over, though. My quest for knowledge has only just begun. I thought I saw where you could purchase it on www.Amazon.com? Is the pre-release different? Could be wrong, but she got it from somewhere. I'm on facebook too and there is a Lyme Disease community that I joined last night and it has info about Under Our Skin. Youtube has a short summary on the film.
I keep hearing that "Under Our Skin" will be out in theaters "soon," but I don't know if there is an exact date. Those close to me who've seen it (I purchased a pre-release copy) said it helped them to better understand my situation.
In the meantime, I finally got my mom to start reading "Cure Unknown." :)
You go, girl! That's the attitude!
