I came across an article about hyperbaric chambers and treatments. What I found most interesting in this article was how one of the doctors mentioned disorienting symptoms occur after flying on a plane.
In Aug 2007 my fiancé and I planned a trip to mexico , after landing in mexico I was so disoriented and confused it was scary. I have never flown before and I have terrible ears (ear infections since the time I was born, operations, tubes inserted, the whole 9) So I thought my ears and equilibrium was the cause. After a day of rest after the flight I seem to be ok.. I noticed on 2nd day in mexico I had this spotted rash on my lower portion of my body, thinking it was a heat rash I took full cover for shade. The night of our 6th day there (leaving on the 7th) both my fiancé started to both get sick (sinus related) We flew home and I ended up having to stay home for quite a few days, my fiancé was not nearly as sick. I had vertigo and dizziness spells. I have never been so ill. It was scary. No vomiting or diarrhea ,but had a slight fever and an overall feeling of “somethings not right”
Ever since that flight I started to experience symptoms (fainting spells, nair and hair changes, ear ringing, muscle twitches, migraines, eye problems, neurological problems, AND MANY MORE) low and behold both my fiancé and I were diagnosed with Lyme disease in January 2009!
Wondering if anyone also has had this occur, im also worried because I completed my treatment, but still have a few lingering symptoms. We are getting married in Feb and heading to Punta Cana, a little nervous of the flight!!!!!
