Lyme disease and diet?

I was wondering if anyone out there is on a special diet because of Lyme disease, co-infections, and/or complications of the illness.  If so, please add a comment below explaining your basic plan, and why you think it helps.  Did you discover/create your diet, or was it handed down from your doctor?

I eat a diet that I think is healthful, but it is not tailored or designed with Lyme in mind.  I'm interested in ideas for how to change or improve.  Thanks!

I tried to cover all bases with the poll options, but added an "other" choice just in case.

So, are you on a modified diet since getting sick?

I have started to eat a lot more garlic - fresh/raw - I have read a few times that it has a natural abx. effect - also beetroot is apparently good for the liver - when taking long term abx.

Thanks for the comments.  I also take cat's claw.  My LLMD had me take it for a few weeks before starting antibiotics.  I no longer take it daily, but once in awhile.  I did seem to get some mild herx/benefits from it.  I think it is a good place to start.

I should check out the Comp. Med Forum.  It seems I can't shake my fatigue and often feel "fragile," such that even small deviations from my schedule or the expected can pack a wallop.  I'd like to build up more resilience, and am interested in if/how I may achieve that with diet/supplements.
