Thank you for your posts. I have not been officially diagnosed with lyme, but I have several of the symptoms. My most troublesome is the tachycardia and random body aches. I have had a negative antibody lyme test, but my doctor ordered another lyme test and I am awaiting the results.
Yes, I've had cardiac issues on and off. Hopefully, they'll go away with treatment.
I have a coworker who has had Lyme for six years that went misdiagnosed for one year and rapid pulse was one of her symptoms...it would come on suddenly and then cease and it was not every day of the week though that this would occur. She knows, like me, that she had the tick bite and the rash. Her case was not so cut and dry, she was not treated soon enough by her doctor and it progressed. I was lucky to get treatment and just finished two months of antibiotics after only being ill three months. But I feel great now off the medicine except my second test that ran all the coinfections just came back somewhat positive for babesiosis. So I will find out how that will be treated, but the lyme symptoms are gone. Ask for the lyme test like I did and the coinfection test too, which I did not right off the bat. I found the tick on me in June and did not start getting ill for a month,,,the rash was long gone and I did not go to doctor for that because it did not look like anything more than a heat rash. But boy was I wrong. When you are well for years and suddenly everything goes south after finding a tick on you...well it does take much to put things together. Good Luck!
