muscle stiffness

Hi All~

I'm now on Biaxin with omnicef. It seems to be making difference so far..

Have any of you noticed that if you sit around to long, you get stiff? I know that rest is good.

Just wanting some feed back.

I was also on that drug combo for a number of months, and it worked well except that I developed a reaction to it for reason the LLMD never discussed with me.  Over time, I was getting puffy in the ankles and all over, without really noticing.  Finally I was getting severe cramps in my left calf muscle to the point that I couldn't get my foot out of the 'wearing high heels' position -- and I only wear flats!

Part of the fluid retention was also in my brain, and that made my thinking very slow and kept me from realizing the magnitude of what was happening.  So if you notice that happening, let your doctor know.  I was okay after a couple of weeks off meds.

I know other people personally who have taken that drug combo for months and months on end, and they never had a single problem.  My LLMD said it's designed to be 'long term' treatment and is generally very well tolerated, so I think I'm just very sensitive to it (that happens to me with other meds too).

The stiffening up you describe might be die off from the bugs; you could also try magnesium supplements, which have helped my muscles not be sore, but I'm strange that way!
