Something similar happened to me last year but it wound up being a very large hemmerhoid and since I didn't have an LLMD then my doc just said to hold warm compresses on it and it did finally go away but I would have it looked at by a doctor to be sure.
Since you are concerned, you could always go to the ER. A doctor can check it out and give you some advice on whatever it is.
I think it sounds like a haemorrhoid.
Don't fiddle with it again.
Have a look at it with a hand mirror (if you have trouble angling the mirro, place it flat on the floor and crouch over it).
Meanwhile do some searches on haemorrhoids to find out more about them. If it is a haemorrhoid and it is hard, that means the blood inside has turned into a "scab" and so it would be best to get the doctor to look at it.
While it is embarrassing, perhaps try to have someone take a look at it see what it is? Hope it wasn't engorged tick. Maybe hemorrid?
Truth is I'm kind of scared because I obviously don't know what it is so any help would be appreciated! Thank you again!
