Yeah guys, no offense, but I look forward to the day I can put this behind me and stop haunting these sites. Before signing off, I'll be sure to first make lots of noise about my successful recovery.
I do take a lot of comfort in reading and contributing here. This is no fun at all, and I find that my misery loves company. It helps me a lot.
I feel the same way you do. When Lyme is getting me down, I come here because I don't feel so alone, and it helps me feel better when I can help somebody else feel better too. This is a good group.
Hope, you mentioned feeling worse in four week cycles ... does it go with the full moon, or on a different schedule? I'm just curious. There's a full moon coming this Friday! If I can establish a schedule for the critters, maybe I can time treatment against them when they are out partying.
Take care.
I'm the same way as Jackie - when I feel good - I avoid the site. Perhaps I am avoiding, hoping my Lyme will go away if I don't talk about it:) I know better.
Anyway, although I have my downs, I am having more ups than three years ago. I used to be in pain chronically, with no relief. Now, I seem to be in four week cycles. I'll have pain for a week, then no/little pain for 3 weeks.
My outlook is usually positive, but when I'm down, I post for a little reassurance because the people on this site are so understanding and helpful. I do recall a post from another member stating she felt she was cured but I forget her name? Maybe you can search "cured Lyme"?
I don't think we can say there is a cure, as of yet anyway. But, you can most certainly have a great/long remission.
Yes, there are indeed good days and even weeks, but I find that when I feel good, I am so busy catching up on work and chores and life that I don't post much.
Glad to hear you've had some of those wonderful days recently -- wishing for all of us to have more and more of them.
Thanks for the reminder!
