Mayo Clinic is neutral about them:
"Several studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit. However, larger and more-rigorous studies are needed to confirm these results."
If you believe in 'detoxification' and use the Infrared sauna you may have some benefits.
It can be relaxing, used safely.
Heat kills bugs. People like them. I never tried one. Good luck.
Thanks for the grounding. I really want that quick fix. I should probably save my money for co-pays and medication:)
We ALL want a quick fix. That's how money is made in the marketplace.Nothing makes me more angry than people trying to make money by bilking sick people. (This sauna isn't quite in that category, but......)
Money is better spent on buying the Brooklyn Bridge, co-pays or at least a nice mini-vacation.
Always check for the science behind claims first.
Some antibiotics and some herbals work by lowering the microvermin's ability to withstand heat by inhibiting their heat shock proteins. Penetrating heat could push some of them over the edge of their tolerance, or it could just make them dig deeper to get away from the source.
