I don't know, and do-it-yourself Lyme treatment is not a good idea, imo. It's a complex disease and needs knowledgeable medical advice.
Hey how many pills do you think would fulfill a 3 week scrip?? Doxycyclin
Hang in there and find that doctor. The sooner you are seen, the easier it is to cure, if it's Lyme or one of the other little 'gifts' these ticks can bring.
Yes.....it s just kind orbs hopeless feeling it really *****...
Been there, a long time ago. I was only 11 when I received a vaccination for typhoid courtesy of the USAF who came to my little town after a flood. I was mostly around older people, hearing them speak of such aches and pains, I thought the problem I had normal. I can't believe the military doctors ignoring you when you have outward signs of the disease. Just makes me wonder.
I checked the site and hope to see an off base doc asap.....and yes thanks for the reassurance! Its just freaking me out because my toes have like a burning sensation. And ankles feel sore along with lip and nose pulsations
Yes, keep looking, and don't fret too much, this stuff doesn't like to kill its host, I've lived with mine for 43 years and didn't know it until about 9-10 months ago. Still it's best to get it out asap, the longer it has to get entrenched, the hard it is to get it out. And, I should add that despite carrying it all those years, I've led a reasonably normal life and been strong enough to keep on going on, for the most part.
Keep plowing ahead looking for a doc. They are sometimes not so easy to find, but they are out there. Did you try the search I suggested in a previous post here?
About the burning and tingling, I'm not medically trained and even if I were couldn't diagnose anyone online, but ... Lyme often has neurological aspects to it that including burning, tingling and numbness as well as 'running water' feelings on the skin, buzzing, and other descriptions.
I wouldn't worry about ALS unless you don't have Lyme. ALS is sometimes given as a diagnosis for someone who actually has Lyme, so they are similar in enough ways for that to happen. Also note that worrying is a symptom of Lyme, because it affects your endocrine (hormonal) system, including thyroid and other aspects. Makes us feel uncertain and anxious. Been there, plenty.
Unfortunately docs who don't understand Lyme well tend to say it's something else that is making the person anxious, just life, etc., without taking into account that Lyme causes anxiety as a direct result of the infection.
Finding a doc is the thing to do. Go for it!
