depersonalization get better?

I have had this symptom from the beginning.  Its been almost 3 years of feeling this way, i feel out of it all the time, I have dimmed emotions like I'm faking it when I'm happy.  My LLMD wants to start me on doxy, but I really want to try essential oils.  Any who, is there any hope for this horrible feeling? I'm terrified that I'll have to live this way forever.  Has anyone had 24/7 depersonalization and have it go away with treatment?  I'm really feeling discouraged) =

I called off my wedding because i feel i won't enjoy it. I also have two kids who need me uhh.
I ddon't want to even treat if it won't get better uh.

Mojo, it's too bad you hadn't read this White Paper about Rainbow Therapy before you went through the experience you had with your Rainbow Therapy:

"A white paper presented by the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy, detailing why responsible members of the Aromatherapy Community are appalled by the risks and dangers inherent in the practice of so called "Raindrop Therapy""

http://www.naturesgift.com/RDT.htm

Read more: http://www.naturesgift.com/RDT.htm#ixzz2xfPEpVs6

" In the USA, The National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) has defined standard curriculum for certification for  “Aromatherapy Practitioner”. There are persons performing “Raindrop Therapy” (RDT), who have not received training, observing similar curriculum standards. These public demonstrations and conferences have been presented to the general public as well as audiences of health care professionals including physicians, nurses, midwives, doulas, and massage therapists. The purpose of this paper is to assert a position against the use of a technique called “Raindrop Therapy” as it currently cannot be supported as a recognized aromatherapy “best practice.” This position is intended to educate and inform the public as a part of the role of members of the Aromatherapy Community.

“Raindrop Therapy” technique as developed by Mr. Gary Young is not to be regarded as a best practice... "

"Tisserand and Balacs further point out that “the only likely risk" [from aromatherapy massage, or from essential oil vaporization] would be from prolonged exposure (perhaps 1 hour or more) to relatively high levels of essential oil vapor which could lead to headaches, vertigo, nausea and lethargy”.

There are essential oils that have an antibacterial and antiviral effect, some even have natural versions of the quinolone antibiotics.  One of the problems I've found with essential oils is the taste, some of them taste like the mosquito repellent cave76 mentioned.  Since they're working, I just ignore the taste.

Oral, IV and IM (injections) antibiotics

No herbs but do take calcium, magnesium, probiotics.

I did use some lavender EO for a while, topically, as a sort of perfume and on a cotton ball with my sheets. But they're expensive.
I still use citronella as a mosquito repellent.
I used eucalyptus EO on cotton balls under my mattress when tiny biting insects started biting me at night. (Not ticks!) That discouraged them.

I just want to say that Ricobord is right. I have been sick over 20 years so antibiotics just didn't work out but when thing got very bad 3 years ago, I could not walk and had no strength in my arms. Doxycycline got me walking again pretty fast.

I encourage you to go for antibiotics.  While they don't cure everyone (especially those infected for many years), they are very effective for many.

Please don't be defeated before you start!  Realize you might actually feel worse on antibiotics for a while before recovery starts.  That's common.  But it's worth it to feel better in the long run.

Despair and depression are part of the illness. Don't let them define you. Fight back!

Essential oils will NOT treat a bacterial infection.
Only long term antibiotics will.

And believing people on Facebook instead of your doctor?? I just don't understand that!

There IS hope but only with proper treatment. But I certainly wish you well.

Thank you for your comment,  the reason why I want to try eos is because there is a fb page of tons of people in remission because of them.

I have heard of this many times. I goes away with treatment.

I can only talk of my own experience, I was on different antibiotics for 18 months and got worse. Now I am on a natural program. I haven't seen people say they get cured with essential oils.

I had a raindrop massage that used essential oils and I woke up the next day
And completely forgot the day before. It scared me to death.

I am so sorry you postponed your wedding!
