Jackie,
Since it seems like you are from California based on the name.
Do you of any good lyme doctors in southern California...
I am from Orange County, so anywhere near.
Also, do you know of any lyme doctors under Kaiser insurance?
That would VERY helpful, It would be great to see a doctor under my insurance. Due to the fact I cannot afford to go to doctors outside my insurance company. A lot of college expenses.
Thank you.
Bummer to have babs, but at least you know now.
I got slammed with Lyme and Babesia in 2006, as sick as I've ever been. (I suspect I got Lyme or something a few years before that, so my reaction may have been due to infection on top of infection.)
I did not have joint pain really, it was muscle and whole body pain. As I started to wake up in the morning, at that first little glimmer of consciousness, I would be okay for a nanosecond, and then it was like getting by the proverbial freight train: WHAM! Whole body aching pain, like the worst case of flu I ever had x 10. The aching pain would gradually fade during the day -- but the confusion and fatigue were always there.
I was treated for the Lyme and Babs, and the Babs went away pretty fast (several months). It's first cousin to malaria, a protozoa, not bacteria like Lyme. Whole different animal.
The treatment was no big deal to tolerate, and I've had no recurrence of babs.
Congratulations (?) on a diagnosis! Go for the treatment!! Let us know how you do.
