I agree with Annie, I had a total hysterectomy when I was 40 and I started having menopausal symptoms within a week. I'm 48 now and I've been on several HRT's. My doctor put me on Femring about a year ago and I love it. I insert it and it last 3 months. I no longer have any symptoms at all.
You had both of your ovaries removed when you were 30? I don't understand this "blood work says I'm going through it again," if so. If you had both ovaries taken out then, you would have gone through menopause then. What does the doctor say about this? A person doesn't go through menopause twice.
yes I had a total went thru it then and now the blood work I just had says I am going thru again! I sure can't afford to gain any more weight, I hope it does help, I got put on 5mg. a day
Do you mean you had a partial hysterectomy at 30? (Just the uterus removed?) A total hysterectomy means you would have had the ovaries removed also, and would have gone through menopause at that time.
I don't think estradiol will make you gain weight. It might even help you lose a little, or at least make your abdomen seem less bloated.
