I feel like a crack case!!

I hope the question won't bore you ladies. I have been know to be long winded :)

Even back in my twenties I would go to the OB ( only doc I had at the time) and complain of feeling over anxious and PMS'y .

He was a "very " male Catholic doctor who chalked it all up to me being an anxious person and I need to destress!

Well at 38 I went to him due to the symptoms getting worse. All of a sudden he ran blood work and found I was hyperthyroid - After a through diagnoises I was Grave's hyperthyroid and was referred to an endo.

Trusting this endo I underwent Radio active iodine to kill this gland from producing thyroid hormone. This was in 2004.

I am now permantely hypothyroid ( with Hashimoto antibodies) and take Armour thyroid.

It's been a long road for me with really bad doctors - but I now have two pretty good ones. A regular MD and a bio identical hormone doctor too.

This is where I am a bit confused. I know ( at least researched) a ton of infomation on my thyroid condition.  But I am not very up on all the female components changing in me.

It turns out after my visit with the bio doc Friday that I am estrogen domaniant. He has prescribed a progestrone cream for me I'll start next week. Again I am reading what I can on all this.

Though this I am also in perimenopause due to the family history with my mother and due to the thyroid disfunction I have now. I am 43.

I suppose I can live with the headaches - back pain - fatigue - etc. What I am not able to be comfortable with is the weight gain. 40 pounds of it since the ablation on the thyroid. Also the crankiness would be nice to leave me too.

Will the progestrone cream help lose some of the weight I gained with this perimenopausal estrogen dominance? Will it balance my mood?  I know diet and exercise will need to be done too - but I am a very healthy eater and with hypo - I eat less now due to no hunger.

I never took any hormone pills ( only BC when I was in my twenties)

What would be your suggestions to help get my body and attitude back?
