burning and itching

Can anyone relate to this? I need to talk to other women have this too! I have burning and itching in vaginal area and horrible dry skin that also itches. I have been told to go on Prempro by my Dr. Does it help? I still have a uterus and I am afraid of HRT after all the hype i have heard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated that worked for all of you that have suffered with this! Thank you!!!

You are most welcome! :  )  I hope this fixes your problem as it did mine.  And to think I went through that suffering for 2 -3 yrs. before I realized it was just as simple as that for me.

Oh.......watch out for those fabric softners too!

Let me know if it helped you to, okay ladydi611?

Have a blessed day.

Thank you so much for your reply! I have always been sensitive to soaps and detergents so I was told to use dove sensitive soap and all free detergent and fabric softener. I have never thought to watch my usage and a second rinse. I will certainly try this! Have a great day!!!

I had burning only, no itching on and off for years.  Went to doctors including Gyno.  Everything healthy and normal.  They could find no cause.

One day, I decided to use less detergent and put my clothes including underwear on a second rinse cycle.  As a result, I have not had the burning sensation since; except when I forget to put it on a second rinse cycle.

Hi, many years back, I had that itchy and burning sensation when passing urine. Went ot see doctor and he told me it is yeast infection and also urinary infection.  Was given cream to apply and the itch went away.  Need to wash vaginal area often.

Don't go for HRT, I heard that it can increase risk of endometrial cancer.
