I've had horrible migraines that are associated w/my period for about 8 years now. Sometimes they have been so bad I have had to go to the hospital (for a shot of demerol). I take a medicine--Relpax, as needed. It's wonderful for me, works nearly all the time.
Hope you feel better.
thank you Jenni, I will try that! I'll let oyu know how it goes!! It gets so bad and that seems so simple! Thanks again!!
Yikes! I had to go to the ER lst week, they told me that I should take benadryl and ibuprofen together with a medication for nausea if I have it. If you have any prescriptions, they told me I could take my ultram (I have Fibromyalgia) with the benadryl and nausea med (Have it for side effects of FIbromyalgia) and it works like a charm. Weirdest thing too, because I have had migraines for 15 years and this worked pretty fast and didn't make me totally out of it. It was kinda cool. Also, if you don't feel comfortable mixing meds on the advice of a stranger, and you probably shouldn't, call the local pharmacist and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Good Luck! Feel better, I know how yucky you must feel.
