Creatinine Levels for Age 27 years old for male asian
I am Mr. Jerome 27 y/o male a Filipino. I recently had my serum creatinine test. the result was 1.04 mg - 91.88umol. My BUN is 9.0. the result was taken in the month of April 2013.
I calculated my eGFR via MDRD and the result was 91ml. I just dont know if the lab uses IDMS traceable. but when I compute it using IDMS traceable, my CKD-Epi GFR is 98ml while in MDRD it is 86ml.
My question is: do I have a normal eGFR for my age? or is it quite low? last year I was doing weights but a few months ago I stopped. May I ask, if I go back to gym again and gain muscle mass, will my Creatinine Levels also go up? because in my current weight, 65kg 5'11ft I am quite skinny. although my creatinine levels are normal, they may be elevated when I go to gym again and eat protein rich food.
I also had my ultrasound last February 2013. and the results are normal.

The reference ranges for serum creatinine are 0.5 to 1.0 mg/dL which is about 45-90 μmol/l for women and 0.7 to 1.2 mg/dL (60-110 μmol/l) for men. A baseline serum creatinine of 2.0 mg/dL (150 μmol/l) may indicate normal kidney function in a male body builder but a serum creatinine of 0.7 mg/dL (60 μmol/l) can indicate significant renal disease in a old woman. There are many biological variations in the production of creatinine which may be affected due to variations in muscle mass, age, sex, race, nutrition and taking creatine supplements .It is suggested to clinically correlate any test result.
