I think I've got blood in my semen

Hi guys, of all things that could happen to my body, this is one of the ones that freaks me out the most (and makes me a little queasy too).

Here's the story: After doing a little dry humping with my girlfriend, I went to the bathroom and noticed some blood spots in my boxers. I thought "wtf?!" and began to look around for spots on my penis where maybe the skin broke (I'll point out at this juncture that I have genital warts, and still have a few scattered throughout my shaft, so I thought it was one of them getting broken). But everything on the skin looked perfectly normal. However, I THEN noticed that there were traces of blood at the tip of my penis, at the opening of the urethra. I thought that maybe this was a small wart getting broken at the very tip of my penis that I hadn't noticed before (in case you aren't familiar with genital warts - they can be very small and unnoticeable at times, so I think this is still a possibility).

So anyways, she left shortly after and I decided to masturbate on my own. At this point I wasn't noticing any blood... until I ejaculated. Then I saw what I interpreted as trace amounts of blood in my semen. Now I suppose that this may have just been leftover blood from the initial bleeding, with the semen "washing" out the remains, so to speak. But I feel like I should treat this as a case of blood in my actual semen (and I assume the blood I had in my boxers was from the pre-ejaculate).

Any ideas what could make this happen? I'll point out that I am currently treating my warts with imiquimod cream, which can cause sores/lesions/etc. I've been using it for about 6 weeks so far, and this is my first episode of blood.  So maybe it's from the cream, maybe not.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. After a little internet searching, I did happen to track down one other story of someone having blood in their semen as a result of using imiquimod, so I'm hoping that cream just caused some inflammation that led to the bleeding. But I'll certainly be keeping an eye out!

Hi L, Look before you go rushing off in differant direstions, just take a break from masturbating and sex for the next 7 days, you may just have a small blood vessel nick, so in that time it should heal.
But stop dry humping use lots of lubrecation, its always best.
Good Luck
