Smeely discharge, what is it?

Hello all

I have a discharge at the top of groin, in the crease between my leg and scrotum.
This has occured on occasions over the past 4 or 5 years.
I descripe the discharge as being like a creamy sweat and it smells like decaying teeth.
At the same time I have the same smell (but not as bad) coming from my nose and ears.

You know when you visit a dentist and have a cavity, the dentist drills the cavilty so to clean the affected area before filling. Well the smell is like that whiff you get just after the dentist starts drilling, that decay bit.

I have tried anti-fungal creams without success.
I am too embarrased to see my lady doctor.

I wash this area every day, I even shaved off my pubic hair to see if that would help.
I have even used anti-bacterial spray from the kitchen.
All without success.

I read somewhere, but can't remember where, that it is possibly a bacterial problem which originated in the bowel. I also read, on the same website, that the only real course of treatment is antibiotics.
Doctors in the U.K is now reluctant to prescribe antibitic medication.

Has anyone had a similar problem? If yes how was it resolved?

I definately do not have an STD.

I wash regularly especially in that area but it doesn't go away. I do not have an hygene problem, far from it.
I do get hot often, always have and prefer the cooler weather.

Maybe you have an STD talk to your doctor. I do know that fungi lives in wet moist places on the body. In the male, it's between the legs by the scrotum in the cracks. That's why when men don't shower for a few days and then are a bit sweaty, them run their finger down there and it get's a warm heat smell. Showering and keeping good hygiene makes it go away.
