So I am not having hot flashes..yeah!  But what is this???

Sex: F
Age: 41
Height: 5Ft 8In
Job: Desk Jockey -  Sustainability
Health Background: General healthy, but had first child 15mos ago, and all sorts of odd things since.  Nursing mom.  Low on Vit D, B and Calcium, but taking supplements for them plus prenatal multi.  I had Tingling in my feet like they had fallen asleep, but that has been gone for months.
Blood pressure: excellent 90/60
Weight: Thin 122lbs, lost an additional 20 lbs after having kid from pre-pregnant weight.  Mostly muscle and especailly in my rear (my butt is gone), since I didn't have much fat to lose
Current weight direction: Holding...?
Weight Pattern: down since birth of child
Symptom description: warm sensation, no pain.  Feels like I am sitting on a really warm surface.
Symptom Location(s): Left buttocks/upper thigh below pocket
Length of time with symptom: A few months
Frequency of Symptom: few times per day.  There are periods of time without symptoms. and others with lots of flashes... up to 15 while reading this post
Allergies: None specifically, but "undiagnosed sensitivities" per 3 allergists.  May be food related.  Tryng to be Gluten and Dairy free.
Drugs: Thyroid meds (Hashimotos)
Vaccinations:   ?
Activity Level: Moderate, used to be very active
Stress Level: Moderate to high recently
History: Currently, I am really tight.  I have not been getting much stretching in at all lately, and I can feel my usual sciadic issue on the outside of my right leg is tight.  I just had a really heavy round of stress that had other parts of my back in spasm.  That is going away.  This burning sensation is all new.  I do wear tighter jeans...hmmm

Found this site that seemed to shed some additional light on this topic...http://mysite.verizon.net/res72i1p/health/back/index.html

Thanks for all the posts....there are some really good threads in here.  Transient issues are never easy to describe, this one seemed even stranger.

I have a warm feeling on the outside edge of my left foot.  It is not constant, or painful, but it feels exactly like sun is shining brightly on that foot, or its sitting on a heating pad.  it happens mostly when i am sitting with that foot touching something, or sitting at my desk with shoes on.

Thanks for your input on Citalopram being a factor or not in this condition.  I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to see if he can shed any light on this strange condition we're all experiencing.  I'll let you all know what I find out.

I wish my husband was reading these blogs and now he can understand what im talking about..really the sensation feels good specially when its chilly outside here in iowa. I first immediatly wiped my leg as well. it feels like warm water being poured down on it. Yes the look on the doctors face..was priceless.. although it feels good..It would be a reassurance to know if it something to be concerned about.

I started to get the warm wet feeling on my right thigh. At first I kept looking down to see if something was spilling on there, even though I had nothing in my hands. I am going to the dr tomorrow because I was freaking out. I hope they dont think I am nuts when I go...
