periodic warm sensation in lower left leg

For the past 2 days I have a very slight heat sensation in my lower left leg (no other problems). Is this some thing I should be concerned about now, or wait for my drs. appt in a few weeks?

I have the same issue on my right leg. Im only 23 years old and active. After asking around the news came up with a possible cause.  This could be caused by people using labtops and letting them rest on their laps. According to the news this can cause a skin condition that is not serious in the legs. Due to the intense heat from the labtop. So if any of you rest your labtops on your laps while using it, this could be the source of the problem.

Yes, me too, but my sensation is in my right leg.  Again, want to mirror what others are saying.......such a relieve, even tho' not a diagnosis, that others are experiencing the same sensation.  Exactly like hot water running down leg, tho' mine is now focussed more around above the knee and let like water flowing but still that intense 'heat' like sensation.  I went to A&E the first day I had it!  Then went to doctors.  Both told me to take Ibubrofen.  I did and it helped.  I was also told it sounds like something to do with a trapped nerve.  I also have an office job and have and do spend a lot of time sat in me arse!  But I also exercise a lot!  Pain has come back months and months later but continuous and both Ibubrofen or Paracetamol doesn't work.  Another doctor saw me and he decided to run blood tests.  Result is apparently I have an infection (according to blood results).  Blood results being rerun.  Awaiting outcome but can't get appointment with doc for another 3 weeks!!!  If I get a positive outcome i will definitely post here!

How nice to find this column.  Its good to know others have experienced / are experiencing the same thing.  I will try the Vitamin B and see my chiropractor soon.  Same as so many of you - warm, wet feeling going down the outside of my left calf.  So convincing that I sometimes have to touch it.  I'm 54, very fit, not overweight, but I do sit at the computer all day. Thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy.

Can't believe i've never heard of this before from anybody.  Then I have these 'hot water leg' symptons - i look it up on the net and 'bang' - half the world has got it.  My doctor concluded some kind of nerve damage and to come back if still here after a few days.  That was 7 weeks ago!
I'm 35.
Sit in office all bleeding day
Not over weight - quite thin actually.
Dont play any sports anymore - kept getting injured and was never that good anyway.

I'm paranoid that it's because I sit with my legs crossed.  No one has mentioned this (although I havent read all texts so maybe someone has).  I literally sit all the time with my legs crossed (my right leg over my left).  Maybe some permanent damage to the nerves in my left leg because of this.  Not sure but I've got my kids to smack my legs if I do it at home.  i've stopped crossing my legs at work also.  Has the sensation gone away??  i'd like to say yes and have the answer but fact is it hasnt gone away, it seems to have increased if anything.  Worse whenever i get up and drive after sitting for long periods.

If you have a Cyanocobolamine Deficency (B12)  the  one writer states you have to get injections of B12 because B12 is not absorbed thru the gut (enterically)  That is correct  B12 is not absorbed enterically but you also dont need to run to your doctor to get shots. For those of us who are not particullary fond of  shots   try the sublingual method...works almost as well as the shots and no pain. Just placed a high quality of B12 tablet under the tongue and let it disolve. I would suggest seeing your chiropractor for the correct B12 since most chiropractic offices carry high grade easly absorbed under the tongue.   I may self have just started this week  having the Warm Water sensation on my left leg above the ankle.  I know it is not a blood clot because my muscles are soft and not hard an no pain. It is not cellulitis (infection in the skin) No redness associated with surrounding tissue and no heat to the touch.  I am on a Proton pump inhibitor over the last several years.  Maybe a side effect of the drug.  Will have to do some more investigating............certainly am going to start with making sure my spine is aligned by my chiropractor.
