what is wrong with my heart???

i have had pains in the same area for a while and it feels horrible......it is very painful and i think it is my heart. it is very uncomfortable for me to even want to take some of the deep breaths i want to so i end up cutting my breaths short. my arm or any of my body is not numb all though it hurts in just that area to turn over or want to yawn or cough, just anything really hurts i thought rubbing on it would make it feel better and it hasn't. its stopped hurting as much but it's still painful. i do smoke and im not suppose to, but my family also has a record of having strokes and heart attacks what do you think this could be??

that definately sounds like a pulled muscle in your chest.
i had the same problem months ago. I went to a cardiologist as well as a urologist (because my blood pressure was elevated to 140/100) but the blood pressure had nothing to do with it, it was later diagnosed to be caused by stress and my sodium intake. anyway
i also had this problem, there would be days when I was working out at the gym and i'd bend down after a set of reps to get a drink of water and i had dropped my water and instantly snapped back upright because of the chest pain. I would reccommend you see a cardiologist just to be on the safe side, but you are probably okay, just try not to lift anything above your waist and be very careful while bending down/ getting up or sitting down.

Sounds like you have pulled you intercostal muscles in chest. I used to get hthese, usually after a bout with coughing. May not be, but you may want to ask your MD about it.
