HELP I am SCARED!

Let me start off by saying that I am not sure what type of headache this is or if it even is a headache. To me it seems rather severe to be just a headache. I am a 27 yr old female who is a non-smoker, hardly ever drinks and has little health issues save a minor closed head injury 6 years ago, a hiatal hernia and a few fibroid cysts. My problems started 1 1/2 wks ago when I took 2 Levaquin for a sinus infection which was the worst mistake of my life. The second day of the Levaquin I got SEVERE stomach pains, intestinal cramping, bloating and diaherria. an hr later the disherria turned bloody and then I just had excessive gas (with no bm) and blood clots that came out. I was very scared and went to the ER. they did a rectal exam which showed the presence of blood and ran some blood tests which came out normal. they also took a stool sample to test for bacteria but there was none. they put me on lots of fluids and sent me off with a prescrition for  Bentyl which I didn't take because it I took it before and it gave me headaches and very bad dizziness. Several days later my husband and I left for ireland (already had tickets) although I didn't feel that much better however the bloody diaherria had ceased. My stomach still hurt and it felt like I had trapped gas constantly. I know it was because of the levaquin. i was still worried about it though and went to the doctor in ireland. i was given flagyl even though they weren't sure what it was. i took several doses and it seemed to improve. it is a now a week later from all that and although the constant stomach and cramping pain is gone I still have some sort of bowel or stomach tension after eating. that problem is mostly gone but now I have another more seeminly serious problem-my head. It started 3 days ago. I wasn't on any meds at the time. i had taken a laxative and gotten a pretty bad nettle sting but thats all. 3 days ago my head started to hurt immensely, especially on the left side. my face also hurt, mostly on the left where my sinus cavities are.  the pain is an intermittant throbbing feeling that occasionally moves to the right side, top of head or up the neck. I AM SCARED I AM DYING. I am prone to anxiety too especially when it comes to my health. the pain seems to coincide with the stomach cramping too but it could be coincidental. note: regading the gassy stomach issue when i force myself to burp I feel a little better each time.
back to the head pains, they are sharp like someone is jabbing me in the head, I am more sensitive to light but I am not sure if it makes it worse because the pain comes and goes and also comes in the form of a burning or tinling sensation all over the head. i went to the ER when this started 3 days ago and they ran some tests as well as a CT scan of my head and a sinus scan. All of the tests came back negative/normal and they can't explain why I am having these feelings. I am still in Ireland as our flight is scheduled to leave this sunday, in 4 days. i tried to come back earlier but I a can't change it, all the seats are taken. i want to come back earlier to get more tests to find out the problem. in the meantime can anyone tell me what they think is wrong? also, when we flew here over a week ago my left ear never popped and I think it still could be slightly plugged. the dr. said they just saw a little ear wax and gave me Cerumol to clear it out. Along with all my other symptoms I also have a ringing in the ears. They didn't seem to think I had an ear infection though or a sinus infection. they said the sinus xray was clear??? please give me your opinion, thanks :)

I don't know what is causing your headaches but I hate that this is ruining your trip.  I am not a doctor but here is my two cents.  You had the initial scans and blood work.  You have a good chance that anything scary would have been caught.

For my entire family, any stomach or bowel problem causes a bad headache.  I read that the gut has more serotonin than any part of the body.  Serotonin does play a part in headaches.  Could you be constipated from the treatment or dehydrated.  Are you drinking alot of good bottled water.

Good Luck and I'll say a prayer tonight.  Also I would make an appointment long distance with a neurologist here for as soon as you get back.  Nothing worse than rushing home and waiting for an appointment.  BTW:  I too get horrible anxiety so throw your fears to the wind and try to enjoy your time since your there.
