Bazaar symptoms

43 year old women
*Classic controllable Migraine since age 10
*New severe constant occipital headache
BUT
*Now I hear strong squirting sound in back of head before and during excruciating pain (for days)
*If I sleep on my right side, wake up throwing up, right pupil will be huge, left one little (responds to   light)
*If I sleep on my left side, wake up throwing up, left pupil will be huge, right one little.
Squirting/draining sound becoming constant but I have had MRI of head and neck, clear but missing a A1 vessel.
Single eye blurs through the day for short periods
*Now sharp heart pains starting, sometimes on left (down arm), sometime right (the same)

I have been very compliant with all preventatives, anti-seizures, SSRIs, tricyclics, etc...
PLEASE HELP.  I have found several of these head noise people on the net but no doctor ever knows what I am talking about.

Jeff - thanks for some validation I hope.  I too thought CSF pressure.  I think this is even validated by the fact that certain narcotics will make the pain much worse.  I did extensive research at the time and found out that that narcotic temporarily increase CSF pressure.

I have had MRI of  head and cervical spine.  Pressed to get an MRA of head.  Would the "tonsils blocking the ventricles" show up on one of those tests.  Both came back OK but the MRI of head was done before the uneven pupil sizes presented.  I have a great neurologist that let me have a prescription of Diamox.  It say to take three a day but I have only worked up the courage to take one a day.  It makes my head feel VERY tingly.  Went to an neuro-opthomologist to see if their was any eye pressure.  None was detected.  God, you don't know how good it feels to have this response.  Is this the kind of problem a neurosurgeon would understand.  Meanwhile, I'm trying more of the Diamox.  Thank you again.

It sounds like you have blockages in you ventricles, causing cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) to accumulate. This increases intercranial pressure, and commonly leads to debilitating headaches, vomiting, etc.  The uneven pupil sizes are a giveaway for increased hemispheric CSF pressure. You need to see a neurologist and have imaging done. You might have brain "tonsils" blocking the ventricles, which usually requires drains to shunt the excess CSF into the abdominal cavity, where it can be reabsorbed.

Best of luck - Jeff

hi,
you have not mentioned if you've had CT scan and MRI done.
