Finger in my head...

Okay, so that sounds worse than it really is.

Once in a while, I get a feeling in the back left side of my head, that feels like someone is  pressing a finger against my brain.  It's sort of a dull pressure that occasionally goes into a full-blown but short-lived headache.

Before it would come and go, but this one has stayed with me for a good two days now.  I'm unsure as to if it could be a simple pressure/tension headache or something else.  I'm 25, in decent health, though overweight.

Hi,
This could be tension headache. Please take OTC pain killers and apply cold compress to the neck.
Also eat you meals on time as hypoglycaemia can cause headache. And maintain proper hydration as dehydration can cause headache as well. Hope it helps!

Yeah, a finger sticking into the back of your brain would sound really painful, to say the least!  LOL!!

It may be a tension headaache.  Does it go away when you try to relieve the tension in your neck by stretching the muscles or when you apply ice or heat?  Have you tried over the counter pain meds?

If these things don't work, you should see your doctor.  I hope this helps a little!  :)
