Left Side Head Numbness/tingling

I am a 18 year old male. Last week I started getting this weird sensation in the left side of my head above my left ear. I am not sure what it is but it feels like when my arm falls asleep and it also feels sorta numb. I am curious if this is something serious and if I should be consulting a doctor about it.
Thanks!

Hi,

Your age does not suggest anything urgent at the moment. The risk for stroke and other vascular disorders increase as one ages. In your case, you are only 18.

I suggest that you have consult with a neurologist for a baseline neurologic examination. A referral to an ENT specialist may be indicated. Differentials for this will be a musculoskeletal pain, a dislocated temporomandibular joint, an ear problem,a dental problem or a migraine headache.

Have you had headaches before?

Are you engaged in any form of rough sports ?

Any ear problem or discharge?

Hi,

Well, I know in my case I have been told it is nothing to worry about. All my probelms are always blamed on my having Lupus. I am not suggesting that you have the same thing, but I know exactly the senation you are referring to. I have only met a couple of other people with the same experieince and one had Lupus as well. Explain this to your doctor who may suggest you see a neurologist.  I would not panic but would have it looked into.
