HELP!!
I took some fiorecet earlier today and then we went to eat and I had a couple glasses of wine. I didn't know you weren't supposed to mix them! What's going to happen to me?! I read it can be fatal, is this true? I'm a little scared

yes the combination can damage the liver and also incraese drowsiness and diziness.Hope you are feeling ok now. but please be careful in future.Also do not take antihistaminics, sedatives, tranquilizers while on fiorecet.

Froglet7 - you're probably OK - look for decreased respirations - if you start feeling really woosy call 911. Also, when you get scared like that - call your local poison control. They have all the dosages and will call you back in an hour to make sure your OK.

"Chronic, excessive consumption of alcohol may increase the risk of acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity" (too much alcohol used often will damage your liver, in this case due to the effects of the acetaminophen component of Fioricet).
"Concurrent acute use of barbiturates and ethanol may result in additive CNS effects" (The Butalbital component of Fioricet and alcohol can add together to depress Central Nervous System activity and can be dangerous for this reason).
Not a good idea to mix. If you took the Fioricet earlier in the day and had a few drinks later, you probably are ok. Wine is a common trigger for migraine, why would you drink wine after taking a Fioricet? Probably a good idea not to drink alcohol in the future after taking any medication, as you can see that alcohol and acetaminophen (Tylenol) taken together can damage your liver, as can too much acetaminophen alone.
