head pressure/nausea

I am 54 years old with no past medical problems other than  a  hysterectomy.and no need for a medical doctor until last month.  Last month had problems with pain of left shoulder and limitied ROM of shoulder.  Dr.'s Dx. of rotator cluff problem.  Six days ago while at work developed a pressure type Ha and felt weak.  Went to bed with it and woke up with it. Third day went to my Dr. wih bp 130/90, Ha pressure, nausea/ weakness.  Had negative CT done.  Return to MD next day for follow up still with head pressure type Ha, nausea/weakness.and  BP up 171/110.  Given BP med to take and told to go to ER with any problems.  Took 1/2 BP pill  that day and none since.  This is 2 days later, BP  remains within normal limis with no further BP med taken, still have pressure type HA top of head, behind eyes and cheek bones, this feeling comes and goes every few minutes to every hour.  Also have occas tingling of bilaeral arms with this and nausea and lips burn and occasional light vertigo.  Thank you for any comment.

Hi,

Have neuralgia headaches been ruled out?
I would suggest you to schedule an appointment with a neurologist as you need to undergo complete neurological evaluation and possibly some tests. Take care!

This first thing I though of was my sinus.  My doctor examined my ears and nasal passages and said she didn't think it was related to my symptoms.  Hyzar 100/25 was given to me and prescribed to take 1/2 pill daily.  My blood pressure came down gradually as HA pressure decreased, but then got low 90-100/ 58-68 and stayed there.  Today my BP is 120/80 and everytime I get lightheaded/weak/nauseated  with that feeling in my head - my BP drops.  I was afraid I would pass out.  Thanks for your response.

Hi,

Did the doctor look for sinusitis? Sinusitis can cause pressure headache, pain behind eyes and cheeks. Please try steam inhalation and see if it helps.
Also there is a possibility of nerve compression at cervical level since you have tingling in both arms.An x ray of cervical spine will have to be done to rule out this possibility.
I would also suggest you to get an ear exam done to rule out ear infections which can cause headaches, vertigo and nausea.
Also why did you take only 1/2 BP pill? Was it what the doctor prescribed?
Please do not stop BP medication on your own, sometimes the BP just shoots up without warning.
