Hello,
Well it would be ebst to get a neurologist consultation. Any tests including an MRI should be done after an appointment with a neurologist if he / she advises.
Also discuss all your symtoms and the medicines you taking currently with the neurologist. Ask him if you need to get yourr eye sight checked and what is he suspecting in your case.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Thank you for all suggestions. Cafergot always help but headache comes more frequently with it.
And it was limited by the dosage itself. So I currently have excedrin migraine instead. Other OTC killers don't help at all, especially for other co-symptoms.
I will consult neurologist soon. Thank you again.
Hi,
Yes, just to be on the safe side, i would suggest you to get an MRI done since you have never got one done. Most probably your symptoms are due to migraine. Which medications are you currently taking?
Hi,
Are there any triggering factors for the migraine attacks that you have. Do OTC painkillers help? Have you been to a neurologist ever in the last 11 years? Do consult a neurologist if you haven't as yet. He would probably run you through some investigations. I would suggest getting your eye sight checked too. Do you have any symptoms of sinusitis or tooth caries etc? Ataxia is another sign which should prompt a neurologist consultation, so go ahead and schedule an appointment.
Have you ever had an MRI - if not I would get one. Are you on preventative medicine. Eleven yaers qualifies for a full neurological workup if you can. Does OTC pain medicine take care of them?
