Pulsating/throbbing in the head

There is always a strong pulsating throbbing sensation in my head, especially while lying down. It's so strong, it kinda feels like I move a bit with every pulse. My head feels as If it is not getting enough blood flow, there is alot of pressure all over and there is a loud swooshing sound in the back of my head. I've had a carotid doppler, MRI with contrast of my brain and temporal bones with inner ear, all normal. My echocardiogram was also normal. Bloodwork normal.

Does it bather you a lot?

It sounds like they have checked you quite well. If you are still worried that it is something dangerous you can try and find a good doctor for a second opinion. That is always a good thing to do.

You can also ask your doctors about trying a drug called propranolol and see if it helps. It usually helps loud heart beats. But of coarse you must first discuss with your doctors if the side effect profile fits you.

Good luck!
