No Medication Works!

Hi Everyone~
I have had migraines for 3 years and none of the medications have worked. I tried Nadolol, Inderol, Diltiazem and a few other blood pressure meds. Also Elavil & Wellbutrin. Topamax & Depakote (both of those were super scary..BAD side effects, I don't recommend them), I am at the point now, that I take Fiorinal, Amidrine or Maxalt every day. I know this stuff can cause rebound migraines..but taking them is the only way I can function enough to work. I am getting so despressed because nothing works. Anyone know of any other preventative meds that might work? Please help! Thanks

Do some research on Histamine Intolerance and try a low histamine diet for a few weeks to see if it helps.

Are you still experiencing these side effects? I was just put on Nadolol for migraines even though I am not convinced that what I am experiencing are "migraines" they are more of brain zaps, a burning tingling sensation I have experienced ever since I stopped taking Topomax cold turkey about a year ago.....and I am afraid to continue it after the research I have done on the interactions of Nadolol and Zoloft [since I take Zoloft daily]

Hi Nikki,
Are you taking these medicines on doctors advise or as a self medication, its not good to try each and every medicine available in shop to get rid of pain. there are other factors like stress physical or mental which triggers these attacks sometimes so go to physician and get throughly check up instead of trying all medicines.
