I saw an eye ear and nose MD two months ago ... when I had my hearing tested.
The did an MRI on my head and did not notice anything.
I saw my Eye MD last week for a full exam and recieved new prescriptions
for reading and distance glasses.... I have them now.
I still have the eye tension.
I have over the years and recently have had "glaucoma" tests.
They are negative ...
It is pain in the muscles behind and around the eyes.
No pain in the eye itself.
Hi Glo55
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Frontal headaches are generally due to sinusitis, TMJ disorders, or Migraine. For sinusitis, to get a confirmed diagnosis you will need to see an ENT specialist. X-rays and CT scans of the sinus give a confirmed diagnosis. Your case does look like sinusitis. You can refer to this article for more information: http://www.healthline.com/adamcontent/sinusitis/2
For Thanks2
You should consult an eye specialist. I think you suffer from eye strain or Glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye). You should also get your eyes tested for refractive errors.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage for both of you. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
I have had pain behind the eyes...
I don't normally notice it during the day when I go about doing what ever keeps me busy.
But whenever I sit back and relax, I have the strong ( not sharp ) achy pain. Like a stron Grimace tension. It interferes with my sleep and I have taken clonazapam ( Klonopkin ) for it for years.
I gets almost spasomy at times.
I also have tenderness of the muscles surrounding my eye sockets.
I sure would like to get it diagnosed.. and then treated...
Nuerologists and sinus Dr. x-Rays, MRI etc show nothing.
