Migrane/stroke?

Hi there, In April this year I woke up and my brain felt it was sinking, I lost the use of the whole of my right side and my speech was slurred I was admitted into hospital with a possible stroke, which a CT scan and a lumber puncture comfirmed it wasnt. I was later told that it was a migrane and that it would settle within 24 hours. Well 7 months later and I still have pins and needles down the whole right side of my body, and my whole right side feels thicker, and I am light headed constantly, and I feel constantly unwell I have seen 3 neurologists, one said that I am still having a migrane, and the other 2 have said that it isnt a migrane and  there is no explernation for it. Which doesnt help at all. I wish I could find a answer for this as it is ruining my life. Before this happened I had had a pain in my head for a month and it had been gone for a week before this happened.Bev

Try to find someone in your area who does neurobiofeedback. (Make sure it's someone qualified and not just someone out to make a buck.) There's EEG biofeedback and HEG biofeedback. The latter of which has been very helpful to me.Good luck!

Hello thank you for your reply, I have already seen 3 neurologists and they have said that they dont know what it is so they ahve dismissed me. At the moment I am taking Amitryptiline to try to stop the lightheadedness. But no other treatment.

Hi,
Please see a neurologist as this can be nerve compression. Also which medicines are you currently taking?

Hello, on the first day they did a CT scan and a lumber puncture and blood tests. A couple of months later I had an MRI which came back clear. No other tests have been done.
