help to concieve after miscarriage

hello to all. Im wondering if anyone is in a similar situation to me. 3 weeks ago i had a missed miscarriage, found out at an antenatal scan, and a d and c the following day. It was my first pregnancy after ttc for 3years. it was my 1st go with the drug clomid, as i have had irregular periods all my life and a gap of 10years between ages 20 and 30 due to anorexia and bulimia.I am waiting my first period now and am anxious to try again. I have been doing ovulation tests since i stopped bleeding at around 7 days after the surgery and they have all been negative. My husband and i have unprotected sex in the last  2weeks. I never thought i could become pregnant and it meant the world to us, now its gone im devestated and just want to get my period, my consultant has told me i can start the clomid again with my next cycle.I have had period type cramps on and off and quite a wet cm for about a week now. Any reasurance?

I am also sorry about your situation, having to make the decision to abort must be dreadful and my heart goes out to you. Thank you for your comment about trying to stay healthy as my bulimia is never far away, especially in times of stress. I am a healthy weight now, but have dipped to 4st in 98 and 2000. Since meeting my husband i too have controlled my anorexia, but the bulimia is always under the surface. While i was pregnant i managed to stay completely free of bulimia, even though it was hard. Like you, now i know its possible, when for so long i thought t was only a dream, its all i can focus on and i want it so much. I am doing what you say, and treat my body as if its pregnant. Thank you.

I am so sorry and I do know what you are going through.  We were trying to concieve for a couple of years but pretty much gave up.  I had the eating disorders for a while and was 89 pounds and the dr told me I would never have kids at that weight.  I changed my diet when I met my husband 7 years ago and never had problems with my period, but still we werent concieving.  In april we found out when we were 14 weeks along that there was a problem with the baby and we had to abort or I would have m/c very far along.  My whole world changed when I realized we COULD have a baby.  I did get all my blood tests back and everything checked and I was 100% healthy.  What a relief.  Anyway, now I want a baby so bad because I know we can have a child.
I am sorry I don't have too much info on when you are going to ovulate or get period again.  I may take a little while just because of the d and c.  have you talked to your dr about when you can start to try again and about what your next step is?
Again, I wish you the best and hopefully someone else can be more helpful as to your question, but I wanted you to know that I know where you are coming from.  Stay healthy!  That is the biggest thing to being able to concieve again.  Treat your body as if your were pregnant!  That is how I live everyday and hopefully one day it will become tru again for us!
