1 month since miscarriage still no period

I had a miscarriage on Dec. 6th. It was a blighted ovum that was detected with an early ultrasound. Previous to the ultrasound, I had no indications of miscarriage. I was prescribed Misprostol to induce labor & excel the pregnancy. This happened on the 6th. It has been exactly a month & still no sign of period. I had been getting my HcG levels tested weekly & they have been at 0 for two weeks now. The nurse who gave me the last results said "Congrats, you can start trying again. If you haven't already, you should expect your period any day now."  Well, that was 2 1/2 weeks ago. No period, nothing.  I am starting to wonder if I'll ever get one again. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

i am SO happy for you both!sounds like everythings going great!well im due on 2moz,but nothing yet :o).i dont know how long my cycle is though so im going to wait until mabey weds/thurs and if i still havnt come on by then i will take a test!iv got 1 waiting in my draw!with my other children i never got positives untill i was a week late for some reason?it just depends when the test can detect enough of the hgc hormone,so im gonna leave it as long as i possibly can.if i have caught this time, this baby will be due the same time as my daughter was due 2 years ago in october!im trying not to think that far ahead tho(although its hard not to get excited!)because of what happened last time.xx

I am due on 9/17 & am about 8 weeks along. I had been counting my 1st day of the miscarriage as the 1st day of a cycle but I ovulated later than usual due to it so I conceived on Christmas. (My miscarriage was on Dec. 6th & ovulated on Christmas Day or the day after) So the scan showed that I am 8 wks & due in Sept. They didn;t schedule a repeat scan since there was a strong heartbeat so I just have to start the regular preganacy appts & keep on going as planned until the 20 wk ultrasound. I am still nervous but I'm finally starting to let myself get excited since I had been trying not to be before now.

I hope everyone keeps us posted!!!

Heartbroken79 - Make sure to keep us posted on your scan. If you're due on the 16th, you're more like 8 weeks along like me. Good luck!!!

saz1986 - I hope you get a BFP so make sure to let us know the outcome. I have my fingers crossed for you!!!

I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Most definitely get a second opinion because you need that for peace of mind. Hang in there, we have all been through it here & we will be there for you no matter the outcome. Keeps us posted.
