12 miscarriages and pregnant again? Possibly??

Hi all, in the past 5 years I have had 12 miscarriages with only one full term pregnancy inbetween.
Am currently under the miscarriage clinic now and waiting for test results.. I have a gyno appt on the 16 th June..
Anyway, I went to see my dr the other day because my period was lasting for over 10 days. compared to the usual 3-5 days. She had a feel of my abdomen, and then asked to do an internal.. Whilst doing the internal, she also pressed dwn on my abdomen.. She said she suspected my cervix was totally closed which could only mean pregnancy? But she then went on to say that it could also mean cysts too.. She wants me to go for a hormone test on the 11th June (What is this?) And also mentioned testing my progesterone levels too? (What's this too?) She also said that no matter what the results, she wants to book me in for an ultrasound scan to see whether its baby or cyst....

The p4 or progesterone would be if you are pregnant and the level is low that could be the reason why you are bleeding.

Too little progesterone in your body can also cause Dysfunctional uterine bleeding in non-pregnant women.

the hormone level will be a blood test hun. it measures hcg levels in ur blood to see if ur pregnant and how far gone u are. the progesterone  i think is also blood tests, i've read on here that over 15 is good if ur pregnant, but i haven't had these done so don't hold me to it. lets hope its baby :-) xx
