9 weeks today and desperately seeking hope.

I am 9 weeks pregnant today (I hope).  Yesterday, I went to the ER for some bright red spotting.  I had a pelvic exam, and the doc said she saw no blood (my spotting was intermittant) and my cervix was closed.  But when I had the ultrasound, they said there was no heartbeat.  Today, I spotted for only like 3 hours.  It is still bright red, and I see nothing on my pad, only on the toilet tissue.  I passed one small clot today, smaller than a pea.  The doctor at the ER said that it might still be too early.  I saw my daughter's heartbeat on ultrasound at 10 weeks.  Is it possible that I still might be carrying a viable fetus?  This would be my second miscarriage in 8 months.  Yesterday would have been my due date for my first miscarriage.  All I want is a healthy baby!

everyone is different and anything is possible.

i had my first ultrasound with my third baby at 7 weeks and a heart beat was easily found. however, then at check ups when i was like 11 weeks they could not find the heart beat with a doppler but found it with an ultrasound. i will pray for you and hope your baby is ok. prepare yourself for either out come just in case and know you are not alone.

i will tell u its a flip of the coin to know if everything is going to be okay. me and my sister were due 5 days apart and we both started red bleeding basically at the same time we both had our scans and everything seemed fine but her bleeding stopped and mine continued i found out on tuesday my babys heartbeat had stopped i finally passed my baby on wednesday and my sister is still pregnant and everything looking great. i was told it doesnt matter if u bleed red/brown/pink and even have clots everything should be fine aslong as the bleeding stops my sisters stopped after a few days but i bled for 3 weeks so i kinda knew i was going to lose it. dont give up hope your baby could be fine i really do hope everything works out for you and you get your healthy baby.
good luck keep us updated

I'm am by no means an expert, but my friend experienced intermittant spotting with a few small clots at 7 weeks and went for an ultrasound. Everything turned out to be fine, so don't lose hope! My fingers are crossed for you :)
