That is such a relief. I will be praying for you. By the heartbeats I would say it is a girl!!!
Ps...To ease your mind stay away from negative information like what you may read on the internet. What you find out may not always apply to you or may not even be true. Good luck,
AP
Congrats that is awesome! I'm so happy for you! Yay!

P.S. I hope you are looking into a new doc. One that will respond when your having a concern.
I went back to the ER and they found a heartbeat!
150 beats per minute! :D!!!!!!!
First i would like to say i am so sorry you are going threw this and that your OB is being a D1ck. I just wanted to mention a few facts. The heart starts working around 4weeks but it not detected until like 6weeks and some women dont see a heartbeat then and then see it in the 7th week. I had a missed m/c at 10w1d. I woke up one day and was not hungry and felt different, and i new something was wrong, went to er and there was no heartbeat, went to see my ob week later, still no heartbeat.
You can have a missed m/c and still have pregnancy symptoms and your hcg levels can still rise, that is bcuz the placenta has not reconized that the baby is dead and will send signals to the endocrine symptom that you are still preggo.
If you really feel worried and uneasy, i would do like one of the ladies said, request your ob to up your appt asap or to go to ER and tell them you are having pain in your belly. Some er's will ask you did you call your ob first and mayb you need to make an appt with them, so pain is always a reason for them to see you.
When is your first ob appt. Also, if you go to er they will be able to do u/s and measure the baby, and it should measure at how many weeks you are, if it doesnt or it measures less it could be a possiblity the baby has stopped growing. This is just going off the information you gave. And yes, i hate when people say things will be ok to,(but that is there way of comforting you, bucz if they say mayb the baby is dead it would hurt you more so they say somthing with hope)
I will keep you in my prayers, keep us posted on what you do and i pray that the baby heartbeat has kicked in.
God bless, Latrice
I'm really sorry this is happening to you. The fact that your blood level is going up. That is a great sign. Sometimes our pg side affects come and go it's common. Also sometimes you can't see the heartbeat until 9 wks. You have the right to know if everything is okay with your baby. You can switch dr's but in the mean time can you maybe go to the er they will assess you and give you a u/s and check for the hb and take all your labs. If ins is an issue the hospitals will not turn you away. I wish you the best. Let me know what happes, For now just try and relax. Take care,
AP
Do you have the option of finding a new dr?
If your not getting anywhere with your ob, I would go back to the er and tell them that you think that something is wrong. As Bam said, it's your body. They can't refuse you. I wish you the best, keep us updated.
Sure, I don't mind..
My last period was December 5th and they aren't usually regular because
I have been in stress. At one point I completely missed my period because of that fact.
I called my obgyn and they probably won't end up calling me back.
I don't want to add to your worry, but then again when I was in your situation I was sick of everybody telling me things were going to be fine when I FELT they were not. At the end of my 6th week, all my symptoms went away. I called my dr and explained, and they said not to worry. But I said that I REALLY feel like something is wrong and I just need to be reassured so I stop worrying. They did agree to move my u/s up. Anyway, it wasn't a happy ending - I m/c at 8 weeks.
I'm not saying that is going to happen to you at all! The fact that you are not cramping or bleeding is a good thing. I have read that your HCG needs to be over 1,000 to see the HB. I think you should call the dr back and ask for another blood test. It's the least invasive thing they can do for you and may very well put your mind at ease. but you can always go back to the ER too. It's your body you have a right to know what is going on.
I wish you the best of luck. Please let me know what you decide.
when i miscarried at 5 weeks all my symptoms disappeared BUT that was only after i had all the bleeding cramping and back pain...that was in a day whhen they disappeared my levels were almost all the way back down..the doc thinks i actually miscarried at 4 weeks but i didnt expell til 5 weeks. i am now 5 weeks preg again and my sore boobs, stomach, and back pain come and go and from what i understand thats normal
If you don't mind, could I ask a few background questions? When was your last period? Do you have pretty regular cycles? By 8 weeks you should definitely be able to see a heartbeat. If I were you I would call my dr and tell them you think you may have had a miscarriage and you need a return call ASAP. If they don't call you back, I would go to the ER and tell them the same thing and see what they say. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Take care, and keep us posted.
