Any Info helpful

Hi- I am 37 years old and have unexplained infertility. I have 4 pregnancies in the last 12 years only one resulting in a live birth. I found out on April 1st I was pregnant using a hpt. Confirmed on april 3rd with blood test. I started spot bleeding on March 28th. Saw my doctor for ultra sound on April 13th. He said he saw a very small implant and was "hopeful". I had my levels check every 2-3 days beginning April 3rd (4 weeks pg) levels were very low. started out 33-99-157-529 and topping put at 826 I would have been 7 weeks pregnant at the 826 #. Two days latter my levels fell to 441 then 2 more days 321. Saw doctor again did another vaginal ultra sound and said it would be a matter of time before I miscarry naturally. I passed allot of tissue 3 days latter April 23rd. I am still bleeding. I have not stopped bleeding from March 28th. I have had several more HCG test over the past 2.5 weeks and they go as follows. 321-425-378-233-290-240-195. I saw the doctor again yesterday May 12th he did another ultra sound said uterus looks clear but I have 8-10 small cysts on my left ovary and that it is enlarged. He is somewhat concerned that my levels are still so high almost 3 weeks after passing fetal tissue. He put me on birth control pills hoping this would help with the cysts and bleeding and wants to see me again in 4 weeks. Does this sound right? Could this have been molar pregnancy? Has anyone else been through anything similar?  I leave on vacation in 3 days so I can not get a 2nd opinion till I get back 2 weeks from now. Any info would be helpful!!

I'm sorry for your losses. I have not personally had a molar pg but I have always had low rising hcg levels. With my last m/c my levels were low and my dr said no need to worry and I made an app with him but a few days before I ended up in the er and found my numbers were extremely low. Again my dr said no need to worry I went to see him and lost the baby 2 days later. I have had 6 m/cs. I have had 2 nd trimester m/cs one was a d and e at 19 wks and bleed for 10 wks and ended up with a d and c and more complications from that. It was a nightmare. I would definately get a 2nd opinion. It just seems 4 wks is a long time away. You don't want an infection to set in. I would try to get seen before you go away. I wouldn't wait. Cysts are common when you are pg or during your period. They usually dissolve on their own. You need to make sure it has if not you could wind up with a ton of complications from that. I'm not sure about taking the b/c pills at this point. I know there are other medications that can help with bleeding. That are more of a short term help. Best wishes to you I hope you feel better soon. Keep me posted and let me know what happens...I'm here if you need to talk!

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry for all you losses! Are you going to keep trying? Do you have any other children? I want a second opinion badly but I live in a very small town and it is the "good ole boy" type of thing here. I just don't want to take any chances with my health. I begged my GP today asking her to refer me out of this town. So far I have not heard from her. Is it common to have 8-10 cysts on one ovary along with still higher then normal  HCG levels, and bleeding for  7.5 weeks? I am so scared and don't know where or what to do. Thanks for taking the time to respond to me!!
