Change of heart..

Heres my story if ya don't know.  A week ago Tues my hcg level was 522, Thurs only climbed to 575, Saturday only climbed to 625.  Doctor said sorry looks like another miscarriage is probable.  We then discussed options, either natural miscarriage or d & c.  I immediately chose d & c.  But today I have really been praying and feel like giving up when nothing is definite isn't the right thing to do.  Just because I will probably miscarry I feel like I don't have the right to play God.  My numbers are still climbing slowly, does that mean baby is still alive?  I still feel prego, achy, nauseated, acne and I am not bleeding at all.  If baby is alive at all I can't let it be taken because of a probability.

Hang in there! I am so sorry you are going through this... I also lost mine at about 41/2 weeks, however I think it was chemical pregnancy. But I bled very lightly, lighter than my period and had no cramps. So it all depends. Good luck to you in the future!!!

Sadly being my 3rd miscarriage it isn't quite as upsetting.  I lost my first one at 12 weeks, that was the worst thing ever! Thanks for the kind words it is still not easy

The same thing happend to me I just had A miscarraige over a month ago at 5 weeks I spotted a week before the baby passed and heavly the week after. Still no PMS yet your body may still think its pregnant even after the baby totally passes because it may not realize that the baby is gone. I am so sorry for your loss I know how it feels. Stay possitive and hope the next is a sucessfull pregnancy. Some people bleed longer than others it is not unknown to bleed for only 2 or 3 days

Well I ended up losing the pregnancy.  Today I started bleeding fairly lightly and it progressively picked up until I passed a clot about quarter size.  Then a little light bleeding then nothing else so far.  I find it odd that I stopped bleeding already but I was only about 4 weeks.  Could that be it?  I had been spotting periodically for about 3 days.  No more breast tenderness and crazy acne though

well I am still waiting.  No cramping, no bleeding.  I guess I just hang around and wait to miscarry?

I agree with lisa. It's rare to see anything on in the u/s at 4 wks. Some women are lucky when they do but with all my kids I haven't before 7 wks and alot of women on here haven 't until almost 9 wks. I wouldn't throw in the towel yet. For now try to keep your chin up. I hope everything works out for the best. I would have your blood re-drawn in a few days. Like 48-72 hrs and see what happens. I'm sorry you are going through this.....I'm here if you need to talk!

I am not doing anything, just letting nature take its course.  The Dr seems to think I am going to start bleeding in the next couple days.  We'll see.  I am just gonna keep believing until I have a reason not to.  I am supposed to call the dr thursday and let her know how things are going.  Will go from there.

Oh my goodness, I just think it is way to early to diagnose anything.
Everything could still work out.  When will you get another beta??
I did read that in very early pregnancy, slow rising HCG levels are not always a m/c.
As long as you are not bleeding or spotting, all may turn out fine.
I really wish the best for you.  Please try to stay hopeful, what did your dr. say??

It is very early my LMP was in early April so I am like 4 weeks.  Sonogram showed nothing.  No masses and my uterus did not have an yolk sac.  I am not having a d & c I feel I am not that far along and its not necessary.  I would just wish I knew when I would start bleeding so I am prepared.  I got my industrial size pads today and doc gave me a script for hydrocodone should I need it.  I had both sonos by the way, pelvic and transvag.

Did you see anything during the sonogram/ultrasound, did they do a vaginal ultrasound also??  I always make them show me the u/s screen and tell me what they see.  Actually in  the office that does my u/s they have a screen up on the wall for the patient to look as they perform the test  .I would never leave their office without an answer right then.
I am not sure why they are pushing you to have an D&C if they have not done a vaginal ultrasound - are you bleeding and cramping and passing tissue??  Please tell us how far along you are in your pregnancy.
Depending on how far along you are, I wouldn't trust the results if it was only a pelvic and not a vaginal - it sounds like its too early.
Good luck and let us know.

just got home from sono.  Dr already has results I am just waiting for a call back.  I told them I didn't want d & c.  They wanted to do a sono to make sure its not tubal.  I am in sheer panic if it is.  I have never been put under before and I am supposed to have a final in a few days.  I just give up

I'm sorry for your situation. I agree with Lisa. I would double check before making a decision. I had my last m/c back in sept and my pg was still progressing for a wk before I lost the baby. My numbers only went up 30 numbers or so. I don't want to upset you but I don't want to give you false hope. Yes anything can happen in pg so that is why you should maybe get a 2nd opinion. I would maybe not get a d and c and see what happens naturally. I have always had low rising numbers but at some point they click and begin to double. A viable pg has doubling numbers early on and then later on they plateau. How many wks are you? I'm really sorry you are dealing with this. Try to keep your chin up. Let me know what happens. If you need to talk I'm here.

Do not make that decision until you get a vaginal ultasound and another HCG test.  Anything can happen in early pregnancy!
Keep us posted, and good luck.
