has anyone been thru this before? multiple miscarriages, genetics, now maybe ivf?

im very confused with what is wrong with me.. I have no problem getting pregnant, but once i hit 7-9 weeks i miscarry. Its happened 3 times now within a period of 1 year. With the 3rd miscarriage they did genetic testing on the baby and on me. The baby had triploidy 69, which means it had 2 sets of chromosones from me and 1 set from my boyfriend. My egg i guess didnt split when the sperm fertilized it.. anyways they did a bunch of genetic testing on me and all the tests came back normal except i am a carrier of cystic fibrosis. So its been 5 months since the last miscarriage and its safe to try again. Once im pregnant again im going to go back on the progestone vaginally like i was on the last pregnancy, plus my obgyn said she is also gonna start me on a new medicine, i dont remember what its called, but it has to do with i think a blood thinner which can be taken with pills or injections. She mentioned ivf too. Said it could be that its not that i cant have children normally, but it could be just me and my boyfriend cant have them together natural, something with my egg and his sperm not working together.. Its very nerve wrecking for me now to even become pregnant but all we want is to have a family of our own. Has this happened too anyone before? and if so what did you have to do to have a child? We will do IVF if we have too, just dont know how long it would take for us to get that kind of money saved up. And can some places even guarentee that IVF can work for us? If anyone has any advice or ever been thru what im going thru can you please respond? Thank you all! xoxo, vanessa.

I was answering Vanessa's question. The first question on this post. Bottom line for us was picking another donor which ended up getting us a BFP so it was the solution to our problem but it isnt that easy for couples that dont have to use a donor. The lady at the cryo bank said they dont know why it happens but occasionaly she had heard of it happening. It was explained a while back to me and Vanessa asked if anyone ever had it happen to them so I said yes.

Can someone explain what they mean by dont mesh? If you get pregnant and have a miscarrige its not the sperm or egg not working with each other, its the spliting of chromosones and age or strenghth of the egg or sperm are the factors, not that the good sperm or egg dont like each other.  I just tried to look it up online also and cant seem to find anything on that.
I have been doing tons of reserach on understandning the body and how things happen and why and never came across that reason as well as I am also seeng a RE.  Main issue is age of the eggs when having chromonsone issues. If one of the parents have an issue with there chromosones by eiher being a carrier of someting or having a balanced translocation then its the chromosones and again not the sperm or egg.
If there is a possiblility of not meshing that is not factors of what I mentioned please if someone can explain further so I can get a better understanding.

Yes unfortunately the egg and sperm don't mesh thing does happen and after speaking to my RE and a cryobank about it I'm not the only one who has been affected this way. It sound unbelievable but let me tell you im living that reality. Hope it doesn't affect many couples because it really su*ks

I dont really follow the whole egg and sperm dont mesh thing?!.  In regards to his sperm or your egg, either one of them could have had a problem, but they would have a problem with anyone if they did, not just yours.
There is a book called " How to get pregnant".  This book by far is the most informative book I think I have ever read if you are trying to learn and figure out all the things that need to take place in your and your partners body to produce a normal baby.  It talks about gentics, misscarriages, ivf, etc....the human anatomony in COMPLETE detail!!
Anyone with questions they feel they need answered would benefit from this book.
Good luck!

Your dr probably wants to start you on lovenox or heparin injections (blood thinners). That is what I'm on since my mc and now finishing ivf#3. Also they may try prednisone. The blood thinners prevent clots from harming the baby and if you had any immune disorders they would try prednisone.  Yes sometimes couples egg and speem do not mesh well. A reproduction endocrinologist would be the one to consult with regarding specialized infertility treatments. Best of luck to you!
