Did I have a miscarriage?

I started what I thought to be a normal period until then I started first with absolutely horrible pains in my lower abdomen. Then I began bleeding straight through my tampons to the poit it looked like small cups of blood where being poured into my pants. It was filled with blood clots everywhere. The tampon (sorry if this is disguisting) was just one huge blood clot when I pulled it out. This is only after a short period of time and the supposed 3rd day of my period. The first day was a little spotting. The second day was the pain and some bleeding and the 3rd was this. I have had miscarrigaes before so T am worried that I may have had another one. It honestly feels like I am dying. I feel weak, dizzy, and I am in so much pain. The bleeding got so bad at one point that I went to walk to the bathroom to change my tampon after only about 30-45 minutes and the blood started gushing out more all over the place (all over my legs and everything right through the super absorbant tampon). I am worried. Do you think this may have been a miscarriage or is this a normal thing? As far as me I usually only have a period that last for 3-4 days only 4-6 times a year and NEVER in my life has it been like this. Thank you so much!

Hun.. I am really sorry to say this..but this doesn't sound normal. not only could it be a m/c, but maybe an ectopic pregnancy...I would suggest you go to your doc or ER ASAP. This could also be caused by a cyst that rupture or even a fibroid. I do hope you find out what is going on and get better soon...let us know how it goes.

PS...Just in case, you shouldn't tampons.

What an uncomfortable event, I'm so sorry you're having to experience this!

Your symptoms do sound like my most recent miscarriage. You really should call your dr. or midwife and get into one of their offices, because miscarriage or not, you're having something go on that is unusual for you. if it is a miscarriage, there is nothing that can be done at this point to save the pregnancy, but at least you'll be monitored for signs of infection.

Best to you.
